Abstract

The *Al-Manar* exegesis is one of the rational-social commentaries reflecting the views of Muhammad Abduh, a contemporary reformist interpreter and one of the founders of the reform movement in Egypt, as recorded by his student Rashid Rida. Similarly, *Parthow-e Az Quran*, authored by Seyyed Mahmoud Taleghani, was written in Iran with attention to the political and social issues of its time. Both commentaries adopt a contemporary approach, emphasizing a return to the Quran and highlighting its guiding aspects.

This article describes and analyzes the principles and perspectives of *Al-Manar* and *Parthow-e Az Quran* regarding specific verses that depict the miracles of the Prophets (peace be upon them). These verses include events such as resurrection after death by lightning, the revival of the murdered individual among the Children of Israel, collective resurrection after death, revival following a hundred-year death, the revival of birds, and Prophet Zechariah's inability to speak.

The findings of this study indicate that both interpreters explain these events as manifestations of divine laws operating in a conventional manner. Thus, an examination and evaluation of the views presented by these two commentators are deemed essential.
